Playtime is much more interesting now... Sissy will examine toys for several minutes, shake them, eat them, then oh-so-carefully throw them on the floor just to see what happens. The best part of any toy or blanket is, of course, the tag... any items with a tag must undergo special inspection/chew-testing.
She is also thrilled that we borrowed a friend's jumperoo... she's quite a little jumper! And we love the big grins & giggles that come with it.
Though she is not close to crawling yet, Sissy gets around pretty well by rolling and kicking until she reaches the four-year-old's or dog's toys we thought were just out of her reach.
Did I mention yet how much this baby LOVES the hammock?!? She will swing & giggle in it for hours... well minutes, but more than a few!
The sweet little jabbering sounds have increased this month, with the addition of a very distinct "da da" in the last week. At first we thought it was just a coincidence, but Sissy only uses her "das" when Daddy is home, so I think she at least knows who the "da" is.
Sissy loves her blankies more every day. She is not too particular about what kind, though she is especially fond of the thin gauzy cotton ones. Blankies make all car rides better (most of which she sleeps through now instead of screaming... Praise the Lord!). And when she is sleepy, she always holds her blanket by her nose... so sweet! Maybe soon I will get a picture of that... maybe.
And to top it all off, Sissy added sitting up all-by-herself to her skill set this week too! It always amazes me how quickly they grow and learn... I'm scared to blink! I just might miss something!
